Each of us knows full well that we<\/em> are in this flesh and bone body somewhere, and we sense, to some degree, that all the chatter and noise we think about is not us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The chatter which so often fills our thoughts \u2013 self-consciousness and anxiety, desire and envy, duty and responsibility \u2013 comes from the outer landscape. It may seem as if it is inside us, but it is not. It may come from our brains, it may be in our bodies, and it is certainly in the culture, but it is not part of our true self, our unique inner, qualiadelic landscape.<\/p>\n

Instead of chatter, we can choose the qualia which we hold to in our minds; we must <\/em>choose <\/em>that which will not be imposed upon us by the outer, human landscape!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, we cling to the landmarks and pathways we have inherited. How could we not be dutiful to our parents? How dare we not be a good citizen? We cling because we are comfortable with the qualia with which we are most familiar.<\/p>\n

The familiar ought to be good, and healthy, but it has been hijacked by Big Dopamine, because it fuels the human economy. Big Dopamine is coarse, crude, and vulgar. If we look at the traumatic destruction it leaves in its addictive wake, Big Dopamine is downright hellish.<\/p>\n

Most chatter is almost always a mix of Big Dopamine inspired superficiality and materialism. Whether we’re craving food, sex, social status, addiction, or some other desire, the chatter that goes along with it drowns our genuine thoughts. How can it be true love if it is not ten out of ten? How can we be an “artist” if our art hasn\u2019t made us rich and famous? How can you call yourself an environmentalist if you drive a car?<\/p>\n

Love, art, and duty are deep qualia, but these chattering questions confuse us, and they are meant to. They go on to make us ask even sillier questions: wouldn’t it be arrogant to think we might change things, to break the mold, to act out of the box? Wouldn’t it be narcissistic and delusional to spend our precious time thinking we might have a higher self?!!!<\/p>\n

No! It would not.<\/p>\n

Trying is not arrogant, only believing we have succeeded would be arrogant and narcissistic. Before we can change the world we must change ourselves.<\/p>\n

Be humble. Be qualiadelic. The meek shall inherit the earth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
