The neuro-landmarks and neuro-pathways that make up the brain are programmed to reflect the outer landmarks and pathways that their senses notice and follow in the landscape &#8212; animals\u2019 brains are mirrors of the outer landscapes in which they survive.<\/p>\n<p>The same is true for most people&#8230;but it doesn&#8217;t have to be. As soon as we accept the &#8220;we&#8221; are not synonymous with our brain, or our brain\/ body, or even our brain\/body\/outer landscape, we are free.
