Animals are not often torn between this or that qualia, the way we humans are. Animals don’t have to choose which cereal to buy, which career to choose, or which candidate to vote for. Depending upon the time of day, the season, and many other factors, they usually know exactly what qualia they are looking for. This means that their Interest and Participation Levels are almost always exactly matched. Unless they are in a crisis of some sort, Interest and Participation Levels, are always in sync. People, on the other hand, are chronically in crises of one sort or another, because we are a materialistic and addictive race. Our interest are always, ALWAYS, zooming ahead of our ability to participate fully in them.
