Think on this when fleshing out the landscapes of your Qualia Quotient: Interest may be pulled to extremes by fear or desire, Participation by attraction or threat
Just as acute pain is over quickly and may be more bearable than aching or chronic pain, so Homo sapiens lives fast, risking the acute in order to avoid facing their true selves, fearing to go deeper into themselves. Addiction does that; it conveniently buries the trauma it creates.
Homo qualiens is a different animal, choosing Little Dopamine explorations, opening the cracks in their trauma, and revealing the illusions that embody them. Interest and Participation levels move toward a balance at the center when you are qualiadelic.
