It’s obvious and I’ve probably said it a million times but the reason it’s so hard to put our faith in our inner qualia is because we’re addicted, by virtue of how we evolved, to the superficial qualia that always leads us to the matter we needed to survive.

The landscapes, and the landmarks and pathways that we may choose to follow, in the short time the planet has left us to get our act together, are but two. One is to improve the outer landscape, including our brains, our bodies, and the physical world around us, and to “think our way out of the mess we have made.

The other path is to grow qualiadelically. Our basic needs can be met. We know that. But if we can escape addiction – the desire for more than we need (Big Dopamine instead of Little Dopamine) we can focus on qualia, and in that we move (spiritually, philosophically, creatively, compassionately), we will move, exquisitely, towards ecosystems.
