Qualia is both philosophical and spiritual.
It’s philosophical because it has to do with consciousness, how we perceive the world and who or what we are, and how to live a good life.
And it’s spiritual because it pertains to the unseen part of the world, to the part of the world that is not material and not measurable, which extends from the smallest particles to the nature of reality and why we’re here on macro-this planet, what our purpose is, what might happen to us when we die.
Of course, this brings us back around to what is consciousness and the philosophical discussions.
And since I’m not a particularly spiritual person by any kind of upbringing, nor truly intellectual or philosophical enough to be aware of different spiritualities, I am fortunate to at least have the wherewithal to know that both reciprocally influence the way I live my life, what I can put my faith in, and what I believe it means to live a good life.
