When you get good at conscious ritualing, new qualia reveals itself to you, and sometimes it’s outside of the box.
It can shake up the routine, and people don’t really like change, so you can find yourself on the outside, looking in.
The fringe, however, is a creative space, a new perspective, a place from which to change the paradigm.
Traditions need to change, and it is up to the outsiders to change the status quo.
Some of us are only on the fringe because we excel at the rituals, while others are at the fringes because we are able to chart our own course.
