We don’t have to play by the rules of matter. We don’t have to carry a big stick to make the world do our bidding. By focusing on qualia, the good things, the gifts, will come to us. The gifts have always been plenty,
All of our gifts come from the ecosystem. The gifts either come to us from the outside, through our senses, or they blossom within ourselves, magically in the mind. The gifts provide a sense of order to the world, as basic as day follows night, or as complex as quantum mechanics. But to forget that the gifts come from the ecosystem is hubris. The ecosystem always provides, but, if we neglect the source, it may stop providing for us.
