Qualia inevitably suggests an ideal which draws us onward. We either move toward it or fall off away from it, creating an aesthetic. But here is the rub: we can start as if we were already there, at the ideal, and we triangulate backwards from it.
Beginning from the end is telos. It expands the world we know into a different dimension, transcending space and fooling time.
On a practical level, think of the hunters who consciously ritual the hunt. To be sure, at first they gather qualia, learning the lore of the hunt, the signs of spore and more and more. At some point, though, the hunter begins at the end, as if in ambush.
On another level, a spiritual level, we live as if we are already filled with divinity, making it so much easier to avoid the lure of desire, and instead focus on helping other beings. The new patterns we learn transform the journey from complex metaphysical problems to enlightened action.
