Scientists have isolated parts of the brain and hormones that make us participate in hardcore realities, like sex, violence, dominance, and even war. But why have they been unable to find a love drive, or a justice instinct, or a peace hormone?
They may have found some relative correlative in our body – peace exists because we need to relax and sleep, or justice exists because we defend our children, or love because we want more sex. But those explanations are not satisfactory.
Really, if I may, these other drives – the ideal drives – come from the qualiasphere. Abstract concepts like these are qualia which somebody has noticed and brought their mind to bear on it with focus, and has put it into the world as an idea or concept.
When an idea comes into somebody’s mind, and they attempt to make it come alive or manifest into the world, it really has to be in harmony with the rest of the laws of physics or culture. Best of all, however, here on Earth, they must find harmony with ecosystems.
Yes, the best ideas must have verisimilitude with the aesthetics of ecosystems. The hardcore realities are part of the sublime aesthetic, the “misfortunate” aspect of ecosystems. The ideals are part of the beautiful aesthetic.
So, be aware that there’s a sex drive and it is not out of harmony with ecosystems any more than is the violence of a predator upon prey. Even war can be somewhat fit into harmony with ecosystems. Hardcore realities are balanced – compensated for – in ecosystems.
