Every species has evolved to emphasize certain qualia to the exclusion of others. Therefore the world looks different to every species, and even every individual.
Everybody’s landscape is a unique veil of Maya, obscuring ecosystems, although I would argue that the human landscape is more distorted than those of our fellow creatures.
But people do have the power of reflection, and the imagination to see beyond their landscapes and to be guided by the ideals suggested by our knowledge of ecosystems.
