Whether we learn about the nation across the ocean or the pond down the road, knowledge creates local consciousness — it doesn’t matter how distant the alien ecosystem is, we now share qualia.
When we focus upon ecosystems, instead of landscapes, the world becomes filled with new qualia, and our local consciousness expands.
Local consciousness creates maps, at the center of which we are not!
