Generally it is the role of art to expose the degradations and depravities of whatever culture in which it might be created. Really, it is a misnomer to produce “art” that champions any culture, no matter how minor or exploited – that role is for obsequious sycophants and toadies, not genuine creators – unless, of course that culture happens to be in harmony with ecosystems. Such a culture needs champions!
(The ecosystems we are destroying are the only true “other” in the human landscape today. Unlike most “other” cultures and/or lifestyles that we fear wrongly, we are scared of Mother Nature for good reason.)
