Microbiomes and Microdopamines

If we think of Little Dopamine, it’s kind of like all the little tiny creatures on the planet.

I’m not talking about meek mice and anxious sparrows so much as the bacteria and microbes in the soil. Real tiny. We ignore them at our own peril – they play such a vital role in ecosystems.

Likewise we have lost the ability to pay attention to Little Dopamine, and that is a perilous turn of events as well.

Our Big Dopamine, addictive habits have leached Little Dopamine out of our consciousness. But, just as we are now learning the importance of the planet’s microbiome, so can we also begin, again, to focus and concentrate on Little Dopamine, to wean ourselves off of all the human crap that is destroying our brains – both in our guts and in our minds!.
